Annamirl: "Herbert, die Müllabfuhr ist da!"
Herbert: "Mia brauchan nix".
This pretty orange scene is what I saw from my window this mroning, and oh yes, I will miss my vantage point. The refuse collection reminds me of a surrealist conversation in one of my sisters short films:
Annamirl: "Herbert, the garbage van is outside!" Herbert: "We don't need anything".
And what's for dinner? The usual Monday night leftovers soup, with a savoury millefeuille. Cut a sheet of puff pastry in eight bits and bake them on a paper-lined tray. Put something heavy on top of the pastry, on another sheet of paper, so they don't puff up too much. After about 15 minutes, pour some beaten egg on four of the pieces and bake until done. While they are baking, cook some sliced peppers, drizzled with salt and oil, in the oven until done, then skin them. When they have cooled a bit, spread cream cheese mixed with gorgonzola (or feta, or any tasty spreadable cheese) on four sheets and cover with the shiny eggy tops, arrange the peppers on top.
