Friday night I had dinner at home, to be precise, in my former home. It so happened that some very nice people were looking when we moved out and we handed our flat over to them (sob!). It couldn't have gone to more deserving folk: they happen to be the most amazingly good cooks, and they cooked a pretty amazing dinner for us. As I wandered through the rooms, I realized with a sense of relief that this most certainly was not our flat any more. I enjoyed the familiar views from the windows, but the rooms themselves had become just rooms, to be filled with whatever life people bring with them. Home is simply where you cook your pasta and brush your teeth, where you hang your pictures and get up in the mornings. Home is where your heart is, and your butt. Thanks to R. and O. for a beautiful dinner, and for continuing the tradition of adventurous cooking!
