Besser so. Alt sein war wirklich nicht ihr Ding.
Und sie ist sowieso immer da.

Sie liked her afternoon nap, just lay down on the Sofa, „only ten minutes“, and woke up after ten  minutes.
Today would have been her 97th birthday.
Better this way. Being old really did not suit her at all. She is around us all the time.

  2. How true How difficult it is sometimes to face an elderly relative.

My mother is still with us, but she is quite old (94) and sometimes she is really bored and tired of living and we, the people who live with her and love her, also become depressed.

There are days that I don't know what to say to cheer her up. She just looks at me and says: - Well, I'll be patient. But I know that she is not listening to what I say, she just keeps thinking about her things.

    1. I am glad you understand what I am talking about here. There’s nothing automatically wonderful about living forever.
