When I cycled home on Saturday, I noticed that about 98% of the local population - plus those who had made their way into town from the inactive airport - were out in the streets and cafés and squares and parks. There was a sort of intoxication in the air which sadly did not last until today, despite the still quiet skies. I am quite happy to travel to London by ferry, like in the old days, if planes are still grounded by the end of next week.
and: I never knew that there was a memorial for Michael Jackson here, opposite Bayerischer Hof Hotel!
