Die Süddeutsche hat neulich beklagt, dass Deutsche unfähig seien zu bloggen. Das ist natürlich ein Blödsinn, weil es denen nur um POLITIK geht, nicht ums Leben. Allerdings, was food blogs betrifft findet man in Deutschland keine Titel wie Burp and slurp (ich habe eben gesehen dass der Blog von blogspot.com abgeschaltet wurde, bei flickr heißt sie "burp_excuzeme",oder Hollow legs oder yumyum in the tumtum . Wir haben dafür aber eher literarische Varianten im Stil von Melancholie Modeste , die Kaltmamsell . In deutschen Blogs wird jetzt viel gesiezt,und man spricht sich - natürlich ironisch - als "Herr" und "Frau" an, was mir sowohl als gschlamperte alte 68er Duzerin und nach 25 Jahren England absurd vorkommt. Meine Generation duzte sich ja nicht, weil wir alle Latzhosen trugen, sondern weil ganz viele Menschen überall - ganz ohne Internet - für ein global solidarisches Lebensgefühl standen. I have been reading my way around blogosphere a bit recently and been thinking about what's a perfect blog, how many words I want to see written, etc. I usually feel my pulse rate go up when I look at blogs (except those of my favourite bloggers' - see the list on the right) and see eight million links you have to click on, each one of which take you somewhere completely different, forcing your brain to adjust to new topics with every click. Nonooonono - I like my narratives linear, with clear chapters and footnotes - and lots of fotos. Not too much text, wordage, chattering and babbling, humming, hawing and twittering - this is writing after all, not a conversation. Unless it's about food. Recipes and tales about great dinners in fabulous restaurants, or where to get things like melon ballers, rosewater or palm sugar.
