Tut mir leid liebe Hanne, aber die letzten beiden Wochen kann ich beim besten Willen nicht schön reden. Die waren BEIGE. Seit gestern ist aber wieder Farbe in meinem Leben. Ich war in den Bergen. Am Samerberg, ich wusste, da oben kann ich gesund werden. Sind nicht die Lungenkranken von jeher in die Berge geschickt worden? Komischerweise spricht niemand in der ganzen Corona-Paranoia davon, an die frische Luft zu gehen. Zusammengesperrt in ungelüfteten Wohnungen, das soll gut tun? In Italien stehen die Menschen auf ihren Balkonen und singen miteinander! Tränen der Freude! Wir fuhren also auf den nächst gelegenen Berg. Gingen spazieren, machten Yoga-Atemübungen. Sonne. Teetrinken dann wieder daheim. Farben! Frühling! Blümchen! *** Colours! Spring! Flowers!   Dear English readers, In case any one is still interested, I am rediscovering books while I am convalescing. It is taking its own sweet time, and plenty of time to read. The charm is that you can read all day, nothing to distract you. Except eating, occasionally. The dish you see up there  is classic AustroBavarian soul food, the Kaiserschmarrn. It consists of a big fat pancake, fried in ghee, that is torn up in the pan and eaten with lashings of icing sugar, often accompanied by apple compote. That's it. Very curative.  The book I enjoyed most was Ben Aronovitch's The Rivers of London.  Blood, gore, myths and river sprites.   Took me a while to get into on account there being magic in it - Harry Potter alert! But the magic is embedded in a story so full of funny ideas that I ended up loving it.  Particularly the meetings with the River impersonations - you never forget Effra, who's looking like she got all her gear from Brixton Ma...
