May is starting well, with a walk up Taubenstein, a little Mountain with an organic farm restaurant and a traditional May 1st folk session. Nice food, too. In the evening, there was a May 1st trade union party in Marienplatz, with a home-grown Ska band, Bluekilla. You'd have to be dead not to dance to their music. Ja der Mai, der fängt gut an. Am Taubenstein, mit Gejodel und Brotzeit, dann am Abend tanzten wir am Marienplatz zu Bluekilla, am Samstag war Flohmarkt in Haidhausen und abends ein kleines flickr-Treffen im Ruffini. Und jetzt ab nach Attel zum Fisch-Essen mit der Familie. Saturday afternoon, after the gorgeous fleamarket all over Haidhausen, I met up with fellow flickristas in Ruffini, my local café. Now I am off to meet the family and go out for lunch. La vita é bella!
